    Last month, we finally embarked on a trip to the Outer Hebrides &#; a very unintentionally overlooked area of Scotland for us.

    I was particularly delighted to see the mythical beaches of Harris, along with iconic historical sites such as the Callanish Stones and the Gearrannan blackhouse village on Lewis. It&#;s also one of the few islands in Scotland that needs more than a couple of days, which meant scheduling more than a accepted weekend trip. In a year where travelling abroad is difficult, risky and expensive, it seemed enjoy the perfect opportunity to finally stick our toes firmly into the sand of Lewis & Harris.
