The highly anticipated My Policeman, from the married producing team of Greg Berlanti and Robbie Rogers, is set to hit theaters Oct. 21 and will stream on Amazon Prime Video on Nov. 4. Based on the novel of the same name, the production follows Tom and Marion (Harry Styles and Emma Corrin, respectively), a couple who get wrapped up in a complicated like triangle with a slightly older man (David Dawson).
When I found [the book], I was playing professional soccer in England, and I was deeply closeted. I was thinking about my future and was like, All right, if I dont change my life, Im going to be 67 years aged … and will I regret these decisions? Will I regret that I didnt come out earlier? Rogers says. I hope that people are inspired in some way watching this film, to be authentic with who they are.

Well my friends, it is June, which means its time for networks to prove how much they care about us through creating new LGBTQ+ programming, and I dont denote just creating a Voices of Pride section on their primary interface that houses all the Queer movies in their catalog as well as television they made and cancelled in the past.

In years past, a good lesbian film was hard to find. But thanks to streaming services like Netflix, we’re seeing more films that feature queer woman , queer, and pansexual protagonists falling in love in adorable rom-coms, breaking up in a tearjerker, or just dancing and singing their way through a Midwestern high institution prom. These films offer audiences a chance to observe characters, who hold often been left off-screen, just living their lives; they offer representation to a large slice of the population frequently ignored by Hollywood.
The good news? The tide is slowly turning. According to GLAAD’s Studio Responsibility Index, more LGBTQ+ characters were prominently included in studio-backed feature films in than in the previous 11 years of the study's existence. The numbers dipped slightly in the Studio Responsibility Index, but there continues to be an raise in LGBTQ+ characters having over 10 minutes of screentime. However, the facts also makes distinct that the movie industry still has a way to go, as a whopping percent of major studio- and streamer-backed films did not
